Dr. Aijaz is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. He is a compassionate and a highly respected hematologist and oncologist, dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
He earned his MBBS degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan, followed by a Master of Science in Clinical Research from Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Aijaz completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cook County Health in Chicago and went on to pursue a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Louisville.
Dr. Aijaz previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He later served as a core faculty member of the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where he was also the principal investigator for several clinical trials. During his tenure, he worked closely within a multidisciplinary team of surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and fellow medical oncologists to provide well-coordinated, patient-centered cancer care.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Aijaz is an accomplished researcher with numerous publications in medical journals, with a focus on cancer and blood disorders.
