Carmen Broussard brings to Genesis Medical Group over 25 years of medical experience. She began her career as a paramedic in northwest Harris County in 1991 and used that experience as she completed her associate degree in Nursing from Houston Baptist University in 1997, a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2001 and finally her Master’s degree in Nursing from UTMB in 2015. Carmen became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in February 2016. She provides care to her patients as if they are her family members and believes everyone possesses the power to change their life and health. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and in her spare time she loves spending time with her husband and 2 children. She also enjoys outdoor activities and singing and hopes to become a private pilot someday.
