DR. JONATHAN LU was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, but he found his love for Texas while attending Rice University for his undergraduate education. Dr. Lu then completed medical school at the University of Queensland in Australia. He further continued his medical training in New Orleans, LA where he completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine followed by his Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Lu has experience in treating a broad array of malignancies, and his clinical interests include cancers of the lung, breast, and gastrointestinal system. As a Medical Oncologist with Genesis Cancer Center, Dr. Lu understands that the treatment of cancer requires a multidisciplinary approach and strives to work alongside all members of the healthcare team to provide the best care possible for each individual. He is dedicated to providing the most up-to-date cancer treatments with personalized patient care that is centered around the individual and not just the disease.
