Dr. Rogelio Garcia-Cavazos has been happily married to his wife, Alex, for 29 years. Childhood sweethearts, their enduring relationship is a testament to their strong family values and commitment to one another. Together, they have raised two wonderful children, Elena and Rogelio, who are a source of great pride and joy for their family.
Dr. Garcia-Cavazos earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico, the same medical school attended by his father and grandfather. He continued his medical education in San Antonio at The University of Texas Health Science Center, where he completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training. During medical school, he developed a passion for rheumatology, a specialty to which he has dedicated his career ever since.
Coming from a proud family tradition of physicians, Dr. Garcia-Cavazos is committed to carrying forward a legacy of compassionate, patient-centered care. For more than 12 years, he has faithfully served the Nacogdoches community and the greater East Texas region, earning a reputation for excellence in rheumatology.
